A question for you Nicole: Say you were approached about a new company's service --like a spa pedicure. Would you expect the company to comp the pedicure? Or is that unethical because it may influence what you write? How do you handle these kinds of situations?

These are great!

Here are some moreL

Don't mail products without approval first.
Don't expect freelancers to have the budget or time to return samples--if you need them back include return shipping labels.
Do offer exclusives to freelancers and make sure you help them out with story scoops--even if it isn't for your client.
Don't include a ton of attachments on your email--this can crash a computer.
