Why You Need to Use Social Media for PR

I recently sat down with two of my favorite and D.C.’s best new media, social media, all things digital strategy and public relations genius wonderboys, James Walker and Peter Corbett. While the two chats occurred on two different days and in two different locales, the commentary is not surprisingly of the same vein, as great minds truly do think alike. Check out James and Peter’s thoughts on why public relations practitioners should use social media and how.

  1. I agree with James about Social Media being the new communication and community. If your client does not ahvea online or social media presence its almost as if they do not exist. I love Social Media. It is a relaxing resource and enjoyable part of my job when doing media outreach to directly connect to the reporter or media outlet.

I agree Peter why are people still asking about social media. They just need to get with it.

  2. Thank you for sharing this video. James and Peter gave great advice on how to become more engaged and the reasons to do so. For more traditional clients in heavily regulated industries like financial services, it will be a challenge but one that will be fun once it is regularly used.

Keep up the good work! Look forward to your shared thoughts. AMM
