Hi Romondo,

The first book I picked up when I started out in copywriting was "How to Launch an At Home Writing Business" written by Lucy Parker
http://www.amazon.com/How-Start-Home-Based-Writing-Business/dp/0762706600

That was almost ten years ago at this point and with the advent of social media, I'm not sure how timely this would be, although it certainly will give you a good start on how to think about where to go with your writing services, who to approach, how to approach them, etc.

ALSO, superstar copywriter Bob Bly has a number of books about copywriting and how to think of your copywriting services as a business. He is also responsive via his Web site and e-mail http://www.bly.com He's old-school but knows what he's doing.

Good luck Romondo, and let me know how it goes!

Very helpful. I am planning on getting out there soon as a Freelance Copywriter also. What books or resources do you find helpful?

Jennifer,

So glad that you enjoyed the video. You can do it! Don't make the mistake I made of waiting until I had done a million projects for free before I started taking myself and what I had to offer businesses seriously. Now is your time. Good luck!

Thank you for what I needed when I needed it. I have a friend who also refers to me as his "publicist", and doing work for him also led me to believe that I can "make noise" for others. Thank you so much for the advice.
